Exercise Library - Stretching


Shoulder

 

Instructions:
  • Lift one arm straight across your body in line with your shoulder.
  • Hold your arm straight whilst your other arm assists to hold your arm in position.
  • Keep your body facing forward.



Chest


Instructions:
  • Place your palm and elbow against a wall or door frame at chest height.
  • Rotate your body gently away from the wall keeping your head neutral.


Tricep


Instructions:
  • Place one arm bent at the elbow behind your head.
  • Hold your opposite hand on your elbow and pull gently.
  • Keep your back straight and head looking forward.


Hamstring


Instructions:
  • Sit on the edge of a chair with one leg straight and your toe facing the ceiling and the other leg bent.
  • Keep your leg straight and lean forward from your lower back.
  • Keep your back straight whilst holding the stretch.


Quadriceps


Instructions:
  • Stand with your feet together and hold onto a chair or wall for support.
  • Bend your knee and lift one foot up behind you and hold onto your foot.
  • Keep your knees directly under your hips and your back straight whilst holding the stretch.


Calf


Instructions:
  • Stand with your feet together and hold onto a chair or wall for support.
  • Step one foot back and keep your feet facing forward.
  • Keep your back leg straight and bend your front knee.
  • Keep your back straight whilst holding the stretch.
