This page provides a “one-stop” location for you to find all of the documents available for download across the many pages provided in this exercise portal. There are also some additional research articles listed here for your benefit, if you wish to read further on some of the topics covered through-out this resource.

1.    Exercise Plan
Before you commence any exercise program you should make a plan, set goals, and use these to stay on track to achieve improved health outcomes! – This document allows you to determine, in consultation with your family and friends, some exercises and activities you can perform together and alone in order get moving, get started and have fun while you do it.

2.    Weekly Exercise Planner
It is important that you plan your ‘week’ to ensure that you have a clear understanding of what you wish to achieve each day. This document allows you to write times, days, and locations that you will exercise through-out the week.


3.    Information Summary – Aerobic Exercise
Your ability to perform Aerobic Exercise will improve as you increase physical fitness. These downloadable documents provide a summary of information pertaining to the prescription of aerobic exercise you should perform as you progress through the Beginner and Advanced stages.


4.    Resistance Exercise – Information Summary
Your ability to perform Resistance Exercise will improve as you increase strength. These downloadable documents provide a summary of information pertaining to the prescription of resistance exercise you should perform as you progress through the Beginner and Advanced stages.


5.    Aerobic Exercise – Program Card
It is important to accurately record the exercise that you plan to complete as well as the actual exercise you do complete. This includes the duration of exercise, the modes of exercise and the intensity of exercise. Your program will change as your fitness improves to ensure you are constantly challenged. This document allows you to record your individual exercise sessions for Aerobic Exercise that you can keep for yourself in-case your treating physician or accredited exercise physiologist wishes to review your current progress or physical condition.


6.    Resistance Exercise – Program Card
It is important to accurately record the exercise that you plan to complete as well as the actual exercise you do complete. 7.    Special Programs – Bone Metastases
In recent clinical trials by the ECU Health and Wellness Institute, exercise therapy for men with bone metastases (advanced prostate cancer) has been shown to be safe and effective when it is supervised and individually tailored to avoid bones that contain sclerotic lesions. These two documents are published research articles from the team at ECU Health and Wellness Institute, to support the information located on the ‘Special Programs’ page.
